Italy’s Consulate General Hosts “Italian Echoes” Concert in Erbil

Italy’s Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region has announced that it will host an Italian classical music concert, “Italian Echoes,” this Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Peshawa Hall, located within the Ministry of Culture and Youth in Erbil.

The event is free and open to the public, and will feature the artists Andrea Griminelli on flute and Amedeo Salvato on piano, performing the music of Donizetti, Bach, Popp, Borne, Battiato, Rota, and Morricone. 

The program spans the elegance of opera classics such as Rigoletto and Carmen, as well as iconic film soundtracks from 8½, Romeo and Juliet, The Godfather, Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, and Once Upon a Time in the West.

The concert will be followed by a reception with light food and drinks provided by the Consulate General.

This event is part of Italy’s ongoing efforts to promote cultural exchange and strengthen ties with the Kurdistan Region. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy the concert as listeners.

Italy has a strong relationship with the Kurdistan Region.

Italy’s Consulate General has also promoted and supported Italian culinary, cultural, and archeological projects in Kurdistan, while also supporting the Peshmerga reform program and training Peshmerga forces through its military presence in the Kurdistan Region.
