In a ministerial decree signed by Russia’s Deputy Minister of Culture Andrey Malyshev, a certificate for the protection of cultural heritage sites was awarded to Kurdish painter and engineer Norik Musoyan.

Musoyan was born in Armenia, and currently lives in Moscow. So far, he has held five solo exhibitions in different Russian cities. He has created more than 500 works of art and has participated in many competitions, scientific conferences, congresses, and contests, where he has won numerous awards.
Last year, Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs awarded Musoyan the prize for best diplomatic hall design for the fifth time during a ceremony on August 25.
For four consecutive years, he has participated in the “Diplomatic Architecture” competition, winning first place each year and receiving awards from Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Musoyan is also an outstanding student; last year he graduated from university with distinction and was awarded a scholarship for a master’s program in architecture.
Musoyan told Kurdistan Chronicle that he hopes to hold a special exhibition in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Duhok. The Kurdish engineer also plans to expand his architectural work in Kurdistan.
