“His Majesty the King has received Member of Parliament Andy Burnham and requested him to form a new administration,” the UK Royal Family posted on X.
“The Rt. Hon Andrew Burnham MP accepted The King’s offer and kissed hands upon his appointment as Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury.”
In a post on X, the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s Foreign Relations office also extended their “warmest congratulations to the new UK Prime Minister, Andy Burnham.”
